The Tibetan-Mongolian Rare Books and Manuscripts
(TMRBM) project aims to document, consolidate, catalogue and make accessible
the rare Tibetan and Mongolian books in the University Library, Cambridge,
the Bodleian Library, Oxford and the British Library in London, with focus
on the collection acquired during the Younghusband Mission to Tibet in
1903–4.
Funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) under its Resource
Enhancement Scheme, the project is administered by the Mongolia & Inner
Asia Sudies Unit (MIASU) within the Department of Social Anthropology,
University of Cambridge in collaboration with scholars and institutions in the UK, US, Europe, Bhutan, Nepal and China.
